1517 Professionals Invited to Apply for Canadian Immigration

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has invited 1517 foreign skilled workers to apply for Canadian immigration under the Express Entry program as a result of the 16th draw on September 8, 2015. Invitations to apply have been issued to candidates who scored at least 459 Comprehensive Ranking System points. The lower points is an indication that candidates even without the qualifying job offer or provincial nomination are becoming eligible to get select for the Canadian immigration.

It is a good news for all those foreign skilled workers who were not that hopeful about the possibility of them get invited due to their lower Comprehensive Ranking System point scores as they did not have any valid job offer from Canadian employer. 600 points have been assigned to arranged employment in Canada or nomination by provincial immigration program out of a total of 1200 points.

The Canadian Express Entry program was launched in January this year which replaced the old Skilled Worker Immigration program selection process. There has been now sixteen draws by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
