Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has invited 4449 foreign professionals to apply for Canada immigration in January 2016 under the Express Entry program. There were three draws in the first month of 2016 resulting in highest number of foreign skilled workers being invited to submit completed applications for Canadian permanent residence. It has been one year since the Express Entry program was launched in 2015. Citizenship and Immigration Canada has indicated its intentions to increase the number of applicants invited in each draw. The applicants who have been invited did not have job offer or nomination from provinces. It is a very good sign for foreign skilled workers and those who have not yet created their profile must create one as soon as possible.
4449 foreign skilled workers have been asked to submit their applications under Express Entry program for Canada immigration in January 2016. They have six months to complete their applications for Canadian permanent residence.
The most important fact about the invitations is that the applicants scored enough points to qualify without having job offer from Canadian employers or nomination from provincial immigration nomination programs.
Comprehensive Ranking System is being used to grade the foreign skilled workers once they create their profile for Express Entry Program. Applicants with qualifying job offer from a Canadian employer or nomination from any of the provincial immigration nominee program are awarded 600 Comprehensive Ranking System points.
The maximum Comprehensive Ranking System points an applicant can receive is 1200.
